Open Straws – Featuring an “O”-shaped cut-out for a faster flow, perfect for thicker drinks like smoothies or toddlers who prefer quicker sipping. While not leak-proof, they help minimise spills if tipped over or dropped. A quick angle trim with scissors may be required to match your cup’s ideal length.
Original Straws – Our standard KaaKaa Cup straws with internal valves to help prevent leaks and spills. These come as the default straw with every KaaKaa Cup purchase and are ideal for everyday, mess-free hydration.

Better for when little one has mastered original straw
I like that these are open straws, which are very rare in sippy cups. They allow faster flow and are better for oral development.
These are very handy as spares. We haven’t needed to use them yet, as the ones from the cups are holding up really well!
I’ve been using these for a week now and absolutely love them! I have a 16mo old boy who has been throwing them around and they still intact. They work amazing with Pigeon wide neck teats and come with very good extra silicone spouts and straws. So versatile, I will be buying more!
These cups are AMAZING!!!! I felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack trying to find something non toxic for my baby that didn’t have a valve straw as the only option – I’m thrilled to have found these! I was worried that they’re glass but the silicone on the outside is very thick and protective of the glass, I reckon I could drop it from my shoulder height without worry. I also worried they’d be heavy being glass but my baby has no problems picking it up by the handles. The silicone straw is also beautifully thick and not cheap feeling like others – I even drink out of her bottle myself cause the straw has nice feedback. I’ll 100% be buying more for my bub and as gifts.
